We had an amazing stay at Shepherd'S Delight. the hut was spacious, well-decorated, and thoughtfully designed. the furniture, decor, and little touches like the breakfast bar made the space feel cozy yet versatile. Despite the wet weather, we enjoyed the log burner and the overall warmth and comfort of the hut. the location was perfect for both forest walks and exploring the nearby Forest of Dean. the bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved the vintage chairs. the treats left for us in the fridge were a lovely touch. We would definitely come back to this dreamy retreat. Cons: Nothing, all was good! 😊.

Located in a beautiful countryside setting, Shepherd's Delight offers a peaceful and quiet retreat for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The well-equipped and cosy hut provides all the basic amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. The clean and tidy interior, complete with a comfortable bed and a small log burner, creates a cosy atmosphere. Additionally, the hut is equipped with a kitchenette that includes a kettle, oven, cooktop, and fridge. The surroundings offer stunning walks and bike trails, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
The village, though beautiful, is a bit of a distance from the hut, making it necessary to drive if one wants to eat or drink out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a delightful retreat in the beautiful countryside. The location provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cozy and modern interior of the chalet ensured a comfortable stay, with all the necessary amenities available. I particularly enjoyed the tranquil surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere. The host was incredibly helpful, coming to our aid when we were struggling to find the key lock box. The presence of a log burner and an outdoor fire pit added an extra touch of warmth and charm to the experience. Despite some minor issues with the oven and cleanliness of a few plates, these were easily rectified. I highly recommend this retreat for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

I had a wonderful stay at this well, equipped and beautifully decorated hut. the owners have thoughtfully provided milk, tea, coffee, sugar, and even beers. the location is peaceful and surrounded by stunning walks, with Tintern Abbey and other attractions nearby. the hut is perfect for self, catering, with a well, stocked kitchen and supermarkets within a short drive. Despite the lack of a TV, the laptop, DVD's, and books provided plenty of entertainment. Sitting outside with the fairy lights, listening to the owls was a magical experience. I loved my stay and will definitely be returning to Shepherd's Delight. Cons: Nothing not to love! 😍.

The location of the hotel was perfect for a relaxing Christmas getaway. It was nestled in a peaceful and quiet area, allowing me to enjoy some much-needed peace and tranquility. The interior of the hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities provided. I particularly loved the cozy log burner, which kept the room warm and created a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, the WiFi was reliable, making it easy for me to stay connected and even have video calls with my loved ones during the festive season.
There were a couple of drawbacks during my stay. the bed was a bit short for my partner who is 6 feet tall, which made it slightly uncomfortable for him.
